Mae Anna

I am fascinated with our ancients, their myths, religions and symbols. I paint to understand what the embodiment of this memory is, and how it’s relative to each one of us based on how much we engage with it. I am en route to revisiting it. I see a waterfall pouring out of a golden castle, a thin-ankled woman adorned in purple silk. Water and fire circling a crocodile next to a willow tree glistening in soft light. As I look up, I see a white flag resting on the peak of a nimbus. I don’t think boundaries exist here. A fish will always want to swim.
