Trained at the Lebanese University of Fine Arts, Tamim Metlej (b. 1998, Lebanon), grew up in Tripoli, Lebanon's northern capital, a city of colorful sunsets and endless horizons. Since childhood, he was attracted to odd cartoon characters, which will later inspire his artistic practice, as he is best known today for his surreal caricatures populating brightly colored backgrounds, blending the somewhat cynical with a pop edge.
